Coaching Staff
The Club is trained by a Coaching Team lead by highly skilled and seasoned dragon boating vets, Joanne Hoffmann and Wendy Schwartz who have both participated in and completed USDBF Competitive Coaching as well as Canadian Dragon Boat Coaching I & II Level Coaching Courses.

Joanne Hoffmann
Coach
Joanne founded and coached the mixed community team of the Oarsome Challengers. She joined the CRDBC in 2016 while also paddling with the Philadelphia Flying Phoenix Dragon Boat Club. In 2017 she joined the CRDBC coaching staff. In 2019 Joanne became Co-Head Coaches of the Club along with Wendy Schwartz at which time the club earned a birth to the 2020 CCWC in France. In addition to Dragon Boat, she coaches the team in indoor paddle pool and winter training programing.
Wendy Schwartz
Coach
A founding member of the club, Wendy has been paddling competitively for 15 years. In 2015 she began coaching and in 2019 became Co-Head Coaches of the Club along with Joanne Hoffmann, at which time the club earned a birth to the 2020 CCWC in France. In addition to Dragon Boat, she coaches the team on the technique of the indoor rowing erg. In addition, she co-coaches the winter training program.
